Papa stopped the car in front of Raghuvanshi Mansion. As we stepped out, the sight before me stole my breath. The entire mansion was draped in twinkling lights, glowing against the night like a sky full of stars. It stood tall and proud, its brilliance demanding attention, as if it were alive, waiting for something.
A soft smile spread across my lips as I watched them, lost in the moment. Then, I felt a warm arm wrap around my shoulders. I looked up and found Papa standing in the middle, holding me close with one arm while his other arm wrapped around Mom. She stood on his other side, her eyes reflecting the same warmth.
"Khush hai hamara bacha?" Papa asked, his voice filled with warmth, a loving smile on his face. I grinned widely, nodding eagerly like a child, my heart swelling with happiness.
(Is my child happy?)
He chuckled, letting go of our shoulders before extending both arms toward us. "Shall we, my beautiful ladies?" he asked with a playful smile. Mumma and I giggled, our hearts light, before gladly slipping our arms through his, holding on as we stepped forward together.
